In the past couple of weeks, I have displayed photos of azaleas blooming and magnolia trees blooming, but today the roses said, "What about us?"
So here they are, the roses in all their colorful glory, complete with fragrance. Click on the "Fragrance" button to smell the roses. (Just kidding. There is no fragrance button. You have to go outside, find a rose bush, and take time to stop and smell the roses.)
Here's one of the first maps I drew, Franklinton in 1984. My grandparents were from Mt. Hermon in Washington Parish. My aunts and uncles were dairy farmers and my grandfather was a sheriff's deputy in Franklinton.

On vacation this year, I went to Branson, Mo. One of the more interesting museums there was the Celebrity and Movie Car Museum, which has a fascinating collection of over 90 vehicles, some from the movies and some that belonged to famous people.
Here are a few photos from that visit.
