Photos of Epcot Architecture

I went to Epcot and MGM Studios several years ago, not to see Disney World or the Magic Kingdom, but to check out the architecture of those places. It has always been interesting to me to see how amusement parks create environments for visitors, pulling together architecture from all over, everything from streets in France to American town squares. Here are some photographs.

The iconic monorail track

A classic view, street lamps and stone buildings

A fake street in MGM Studios (which has been renamed)

And the ever popular fake rock boulders

Morton's Seafood Restaurant in Madisonville

Here's a picture I took of Morton's Seafood Restaurant in Madisonville. I ran it through a filter in my image editing software program to give it that "watercolor painting" feel.

And also a nighttime shot...

Purple With A Purpose

Flowers are different bright colors for a reason, to attract the pollinating insects. Here's a group that's doing a pretty colorful job of getting attention.

Boulders in Mississippi

Driving through Mississippi on the Natchez Trace you know you are getting close to Tennessee when you start seeing boulders on the side of the road. Nowhere is this more in evidence than at the Tishominga State Park near Belmont, MS. Here are a few pictures from the Tishominga park area.
